BABOR Launches Carry-on Compliant Skincare Travel Kits in Time for Hectic Holiday Travel Season

baborPalm Beach, Fl – October 31st. 2006 – IIf you’re like most travelers, you pack your skincare and cosmetics in your carry-on luggage so you can easily freshen up prior to or upon landing. In August of 2006 however all that changed as a plot by terrorists in Britain to mix a sports drink with a gel-like substance and make a potent explosive unfolded. Regulatory agencies worldwide stepped in and immediately banned passengers from boarding commercial aircraft with any liquid substances; either on their person or in their carry-on luggage.

Consumer outcry was so immense in the U.S. and Canada that in September of 2006 and new Transportation Security Administration regulations were loosened to allow passengers to board with travel-size toiletries of 3 ounces (90 ml / 90 grams) or less that fit comfortably in one quart-size or liter-size, clear plastic zip-top bag.

This Fall BABOR Cosmetics will launch a series of skincare travel kits, just in time for the hectic holiday travel season, which include everything necessary for a daily skincare regimen and are carry-on compliant. The kits contain BABOR’s bi-phase duo cleansing system; day and night creams and BABOR’s Sensational Eyes Fluid, an intensely moisturizing eye treatment. “BABOR has been packaging skincare in travel size containers for years,” explained Paul Cain PhD, president and CEO of BABOR North America. “When the new security regulations were enacted however we saw an immediate need to create complete skincare regimen travel kits that will allow our customers to pack BABOR products into their carry-on luggage without having to worry about size or whether their moisturizers would be confiscated.”

The new travel kits consist of BABOR’s SKIN CARE SYSTEM GOLD product line, which is based on individual skin type—normal, dry, oily and combination—because every woman is unique, and BABOR’s SENSATIONAL EYES FLUID. The suggested retail price for the travel kits is $45 and they will be available in specialty stores offering skincare services, luxury spas, leading day spas, at the BABOR Institut and at babor.com beginning in November 15th, 2006—in time for Thanksgiving travel plans.
